Inviseagle

Inviseagle is pretty much complete. The medium is 3/8" re-rod.The finish is natural rust.It shouldn't take long for a consistent color.Snow should make a nice contrasting background.

great photos and a very good representation of that fine bird.

And you are right.

Flash

Hi bpfink,
Thank you. I tried many ways to photograph this piece and found the dark edge of the woods worked best. The yellows in the rust reflected the flash well.I shouldn't have to wait too long before the fluffy stuff flies here in da UP.

Frank, You are right in

Frank,
You are right in regards to the snow background. As it is, your transparent eagle so do speak with the green bush background, reminds me of the movie Predator. This new style in your work makes a beautiful outdoors sculptor. Congratulations ! Nelson.

Hi Frank, the eagle turned

Hi Frank, the eagle turned out really nice. It looks like you've captured a very realistic image with just a few strong lines. It should look great with the rust patina. Will you do more of these? I can see people liking them a lot.

Tingles

Hi Jake,
Thank you. Working with a somewhat familiar subject seems to make the transition to a different style doable.I find a lot of enjoyment using this method too,so there will probably be more pieces before moving on.I'm guessing smaller, more affordable works, like the minimalist eagle head will be more marketable in our current economic phase. The bigger stuff is way mo fun tho.Every time I view an Audubon print,I get tingles.
