Tin Man's shoes are complete and he has his heart. Rather anticlimactic with such a plain heart, but probably consistent with the actual story line as after Tin Woodsman got his heart, he still had to prove his love.I still wish I had the talent and skill to make a jewel of a heart.....someday.I think the man that will receive this sculpture has already proven his love of the community with his own and his new heart.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the compliment.I was asked, by the Alger County Historical Society, to make a Tin Man to be given to a charter member that received a heart transplant. This one's a donation on my part, time well spent.

Thank you. It was fun. I did however try to make a more human face and it looked deplorable, so it got a look closer to earlier illustrations. I'm happy.

Motivation

Hi Jake,
Thank you very much. Tin Man is twenty inches tall.I truly was motivated by the nature of the request. I took a break from making Medicine Eagle, and enjoyed the change. Now its time to start making feathers. Life is good!
