AJ, Chrome is not applied by dipping, it is applied by electroplating, usually over initial platings of copper then nickel. Yes, aluminum can be chrome plated. » reply |

Sand Casting
Hi AJ,
Welcome to Art Metal. I taught myself how to sand cast (I do it in my garage) from "Practical Casting, A Studio Reference" by Tim McCreight. The instructions in this book are very clear & straightforward. There are many sources for the "sand". I have a good sized box from Budget Casting Supply. I hope this is of help to you.
