Sand Casting

Hi AJ,

Welcome to Art Metal. I taught myself how to sand cast (I do it in my garage) from "Practical Casting, A Studio Reference" by Tim McCreight. The instructions in this book are very clear & straightforward. There are many sources for the "sand". I have a good sized box from Budget Casting Supply. I hope this is of help to you.

Peggy

AJ, Chrome is not applied by

AJ,

Chrome is not applied by dipping, it is applied by electroplating, usually over initial platings of copper then nickel. Yes, aluminum can be chrome plated.
