New forged damascus bird knife

Knife-makers

This knife was forged out of saw blade and banding steel damascus. I have started to use recycled metals in all my knives. Initial forging went easily I am unhappy with the guard thickness, but it is too late to change it. The Alaskan maple handle has a lot of depth in the grain. As you can see I am not a photographer! Any comments?Forged damascus bird knifeForged damascus bird knife

bravo on the

bravo on the pic......damascus is difficult to photograph. I've had some luck using a black (instead of white) reflector to kill the "hot spots".
