floral | organic | Outdoor | sculpture | stainless steel Here are some pictures of the Ascension sculpture that was just dedicated. Overall size is about 10' in diameter and about 7' tall. The material is 304 Stainless Steel with a ground finish and a vertical grain that was free handed to give it more of a wild organic look. The whole thing was then treated with Citrisurf to passivate the stainless and brighten/polish it up. Anybody who wants to make their stainless steel projects pop should definitely look into Citrisurf. It was easy to use, environmentally safe, economical, and the results were amazing. I'm currently working on another sculpture for Omaha and will post pictures of the concept drawings soon. Jake Jake Balcom Thanks Jamie, it was a fun

Thanks Rob, we were very lucky with the turnout. The weather was awful that weekend, clouds parted for about 2 hrs, just long enough for the dedication. I guess mother nature wanted to attend as well, lol. Jake Jake Balcom » reply Looks Good

Thanks Frank, I like the finish as well. I was kind of indecisive between two different finishes and Rob, the fella that helps me out, kind of nudged me in this direction. I think it was a good nudge. Jake Jake Balcom » reply very lickable
