Site looking for craftsmen and women

Hi all, just wanted to tell everyone about a new website that launched a couple of days ago called America Creates, http://americacreates.com. It's purpose is to promote artists and craftsmen/women, but their main goal was to try to get away from painting and photography. There are guitar makers, flyrod makers knife makers, you name it. I encourage all of you to apply. It is a juried entry, but I think most people here would have no problem getting in. Once in you'll have an area to create a portfolio and places to put up work for sale. I am not affiliated with this site other than really liking the founders and being a member. I have yet to upload a portfolio or products but plan to in the next week or so. If interested go to the site and click "become a member" in the upper right.

They also have another section called Artists at Work which has a video of me in my shop. I was pretty nervous and said "uh" about a hundred times, but heres the link.

Not sure what it takes to make a video, but you can email Larry or Sharon and they could tell you.

Hi Jake,
Took a quick look at this site and your video.It looks pretty good. I enjoyed the video and felt like an old friend as I saw work you shared here. I am not sure that I am ready to join in quite yet, but see this as an opportunity and appreciate your note to all of us here.I'm sure many here will(should) take advantage. Thanks friend.

Thanks Frank, I find the idea of being filmed nerve racking, but liked the idea of being interviewed working in the shop. As for you being ready, that's a pivotal time that each one of us has to decide has come, however, I'm quite sure they would be fascinated with your bird sculptures.

Thanks so much for posting America Creates....Larry is amazing. We have been talking on the phone and I'm on. Having some trouble loading work but they are working with me.
I really hope they do well, they are nice people.
I really recommend this site for our ArtMetal community.
