fencing | forging | roses Hi all, the Rose Garden Fence that i finished a few months ago finally got installed and the new garden was dedicated last week. There were supposed to be two more panels on each side, but I guess they ended in weird spots in relation to the paths within the gardens so they put them on the other side of the garden. Although the rail was built to be viewed from the street, I think even the view from the back creates a nice silhouette.

Thanks Matt, that's what I like most about it as well. In my opinion, texture and depth are two of the important details of a railing, so i'm happy you noticed. Jake Balcom ![]() Jake, it's really good

Thanks Warren, the timing of the two projects is a bit misleading. The dead line for this fence was the end of april or beginning of may, which I made on time, but due to weather and some other setbacks the other contractors weren't able to finish until just a few weeks ago. That's why it just got installed. I like the roses a lot too. At first I was pushing for a more realistic looking rose, but the concept for the park was more of an Art Deco/Nouveau theme with a little Craft Movement thrown in. The end result was based off of a graphic of a rose designed by the lead architect, which is carried out throughout the garden. In the end, i think i like this version a lot better. Thanks Frank, They kind of let the old rose garden run down, so after this big renovation they've vowed to keep up the maintenance this time, hopefully allowing those future generations to experience the gardens, and of course the fence. :) Jake Balcom ![]() Jake, I've really been
