Daniel, The thumbnails in the blog post can be clicked to show the full-size picture, yes. In this case though, the pictures were uploaded at a size that is only about twice the size of the thumbnails and it's a bit hard to see the finer details. What Warren was pointing out is that when you upload the picture you want to make sure one dimension is in the neighborhood of 600-700 pixels so that the full-size picture is almost full screen when viewed. No matter what size you initially upload, the thumbnail will automatically be sized to fit in the post. These pics were uploaded at a size of about 15k bytes. They could have been as big as 150K without a problem and would have showed much more detail. When I upload pics here I use the Windows Image Re-Sizer power toy for XP and have it re-size the original 10MB images to fit a 1024 x 768 screen. That usually yields a file size of under 200K and works fine. Thanks for bringing this up; it's a great opportunity to cover a subject that several people have asked about recently. Thanx for the info Rich, I'm not too savvy with that stuff but I'll be learnin' plenty from this site on all the things I know will come in handy in the future. |

Nice
earthboar (name).
Some very nice work. They probably are more impressive than the pictures show. You might try to post a little larger picture next time. Use the rule of thumb to have one of the pixel settings around 600 to 700 so we can look closer at them.
