getting ready for big show in Sept. '07

I'm designing a nightclub; finishing a few erotic pieces for the "Dirty Show" (here in Detroit); installing 3 reliefs for a client in two weeks; and getting ready for a group show @ the Detroit Artist Market in September, 2007. This is the way to start a new year. I'll post photo's as I go. I'm still learning how to use the site. I would like to post some images, p;ease tell me how. I'd like to get some feed back on my current work.

I can't find the area to create content

I can't find the area to create content. I use a mac, so i'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. Until I figure it out here's a yahoo photo page of some work. It contains some of the new stuff with some old. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/thibodeaux41/album/576460762342974781 Don Thibodeaux

Don, The only image that is

Don, The only image that is actually placed where folks can see it is in the Sculpture Gallery. The other images were successfully uploaded but are not in the community blog. You need to create a blog post and place either the thumbnail or preview of the images within your blog post. You really should look at the three video tutorials I have put in the help/faq section of the site. Here are links to each:

Tutorial: ArtMetal.com User Account Setup

Video Tutorial: Creating a Blog Post

Video Tutorial: Uploading Images

Hope this helps you get a handle on posting your metal art here at ArtMetal. From what I've seen, I like what you are doing with welding textures and creating abstract human forms. Kind of reminds me of what Chris Ray use to do with some of his sculptures.

Looking forward to seeing a post with all your images of the show...

Finding the sweet spot

I think that the reason people have trouble attaching pics is that the little icon you have to click on is hard to figure out what the heck it is. Once you learn the sweet spot to click on the rest is easy.

Icons are International symbols

Warren,

Thanks for the screen shot and the pointers! With so much eye candy going on a web page, it's sometimes hard to see the obvious. I mean a "+" symbol and a picture should be obvious to say "add picture", but it's not always interpreted by the brain.

If you were to click on the link below that (enable rich-text) then you will get an wysiwyg editor that will let you do more things. This editor will show a camera icon that works exactly the same as the other icon. But will folks think, "oh, I can take a picture with this one?" So, there you have it. It's not easy to communicate with images. But it is easier than trying to communicate in many different languages.

Again, thanks for helping others find their way around ArtMetal!

Shows Moved to next March

Shows Moved to next March. I think that's going to help me, since I'm booked on the copper restoration job and we are installing the four carved brick obelisk at the end of the month. While I'm steady working, I do find time to hit the studio a few times a week. In fact when I got of the job today I got a few hours of welding in. I'm working on a few pieces for a garden show in a few months. When the pieces are done I'll post some pictures.
