Copper bracelet

Hi Everyone,

New to the site, and new to jewelry! I'm a 40 yo male recently back from a MC ride to the Black Hills of South Dakota, where I found two interesting pieces of jewelry for myself. One is a copper bracelet handmade by a husband and wife team, its really nice, and seems to change over time. I suspect its the copper responding to humidity, etc..? One change, however that I have found annoying is the green band left on my wrist. ha ha. Does anyone know of a finish for the bracelet that would prevent this- but not take away from the beauty of it?
Thanks for all of your posts, its interesting reading for a non-artist like me. Best regards, Bill

copper bracelet

Hi Bill I make a lot of bracelets and I use clear finger nail polish on the inside of the bracelet I don't put any on the outside because if it gets scratched the oxidation sets in the scratches and makes your bracelet look bad I hope this helps you.. Bigbob.. www.rgisculptures.com

Hello, if you are looking

Hello, if you are looking for a colored finish i would suggest heating untill color desired, then finish with a clear coat finish, simply found at and hardware store. -Jake
