Brown Re(rod)cluse

A tiny spider built a dome shaped web in one of my tetrahedron stands. It was precisely in the center of the stand. I was fascinated with his web. I made a rendition of this tiny creature out of re-rod. It looks very much like him but instead of 1/4" , he is two feet long. A frien saw this sculpture and named it Brown Re(rod)cluse. The name stuck.

Small lock

Need Foundry Help

Casting

I've tried all the "normal" jobsites but this is so specialized and sites like monster.com or careerbuilder charge large fees to post. I just don't think I'll get the right bang for the buck. I've called some relatively local art schools and posted on craigs list but I really can't think of anywhere else to post.

Beginning sculptor needs some advice re: choosing materials/fabricating

Fabrication | | | |

I'm going to be creating a 5' tall metal sculpture. I want to create it out of small (~1" or a bit smaller diameter) disks, or washers, or whatever I can find cheaply and in bulk. This sculpture just needs to support its own weight, so doesn't have to be super strong.
