I don't even have a flush toilet, what the h*** am I doing with a blog?

After ten years of raft guiding on the best whitewater in the east I realized I needed to get a job. While I still raft guide, I am expanding my metal working abilities into the realm of art. I used to work at a shop rebuilding underground coal mining equipment, but that job sucked. I currently have a shop set up in Hico, WV where I do custom fabrication and repair. While I am still a very small operator,(I just hit $10,000 in gross sales whoopee!) it's growing bit by bit. I have done several jobs for a custom concrete fabricator here in Fayetteville, WV. In between paying jobs, I like to do some art stuff. My brother is a tattoo artist in NE ohio [www.sacredskydesigns.com] but I have trouble drawing stick figures. Thanks to the wonders of CAD, I can actually develop my ideas now without wasting huge sums of money on material. Stay tuned to my website www.freewebs.com/liquidmetalfab for more cool art stuff...

I looked through the web

I looked through the web page, and I must say Great Work! Keep it up! I have been creating similar style sculptures to yours for the last 14 years never attempted to make a living off of it but you are heading in a great direction. Have fun.

Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for the compliment.  I have a much better background in fabrication and repair than I do in art and sculpture, so trying to do more sculpture has been trying and frustrating to say the least.  It's nice to not have to hold dimensional tolerances and make sure it's square and level, but to make things "look" good can be even harder.  Where are you located?
