If you have an arc welder get some nickle rod, expensive. Or you can braze the to tegether. Tig you can braze too. Cutting good ole cut off wheel and patience.

I'd try tig with phosphor

I'd try tig with phosphor bronze rods.
They seem to stick all sorts together for me !

A friend of mine used to often get away with mig welding cast with ordinary mig wire, no matter how many times I told him he couldn't !
May be worth a try if it's decorative and not structural and you got spare bits to play with.

hmmmm... WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY

hmmmm...
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY LIGHT CAST...

light weight like aluminum, or a thin casting...
or was it only lightly cast?? like when something is par-boiled or blanched in the kitchen????

also light casts a shadow but shadows are hard to weld(because of the flash)...

welding

Pre-heat the cast, it disapates heat more rapidly, leading to cracked welds. Also if possible, cover cast post-weld with heat resistnace material to slow the cooling process, sand works great. As a filler rod, silicone bronze works well.
