More metal art from young artists

ArtMetal NextGen

Have you ever tried to herd a herd of cats? Teaching metalsmithing to inner city high school kids fits that bill.

NO ONE is on the same page at the same time. I went on meltdown earlier because I had fifteen kids in the same class wanting different services at the same time.

MISS, I need to engrave this

MISS, I need to anneal this

Miz Em (the right name) I need another color metal that I can solder to this one

MISS, I can't find the right file

MISS, do you have sawblades?

MISS, the light bulb is out on the polishing machine (Someone didn't hold onto her piece and knocked the light out)

Miz Em, how do I turn the pickle pot on?

MISS, there are some files in this big cup of something and you told us not to get the files wet.

MISS, Someone said that this wasn't the right solder, but I don't know the difference.

All going off at the same time.

WHEW.

Educating the metalheads of tomorrow! What a worthy task.

Hugs,

Miz Em

Rewards

Hi Miz Em,

Somewhere your treasures are piling up.Someday you'll get visitors that come back to tell you how you changed their lives for the good.It sure isn't the money. Thanks for your investment in our children.

herding cats ?

There once was a Zen master walking on a path with two students, The students were discussing the meaning of life,
The master stopped and asked the first, "What is the meaning of this stick?" The first student began a rather complex explanation when the master struck him with the stick repeatedly. He then asked the second student, " What is the meaning of this stick?" Without hesitation the second student said " Let me see that stick, please." The master handed the stick to the student. The student beat the master with the stick. The master then said, "You have solved that problem rather well." brad
